So, after a lot of hard work by our Working Groups, version 8 of our survey was approved by the Steering Group last night and will be going to the printers today. We should have the copies back next Friday (25th Sept) and will be delivering over the weekend.... still looking for more volunteers for delivery please (email kingsmeadneighbourhoodplan@gmail.com to volunteer).
We have been a bit worried about the waste of paper of delivering the whole survey through every door as we want as many people as possible to fill in the survey on line; so we did ask whether we could just provide a leaflet with details of how to get a paper copy plus the online survey information but to comply with the rules we have to deliver the entire survey to every household.
Plan A foiled we had a heated debate about the pros and cons of Plan B which was either:
Colour copies on FSC paper OR
Colour front and back on recycled paper
The printer weighed in and let us know that the full colour copy would take more electricity and plates so was the less sustainable option so we decided to go for the recycled paper with a black and white inside. Not quite as eye catching but hopefully sufficient eye candy to encourage people to open it upđ
So, our first formal step on the road to a Neighbourhood Plan is ready to be taken. Exciting times indeed
