Do we need defibrillators in our community? - Most of Hertford have more than one located at several venues across the town - in Kingsmead there is apparently just one at Nimbus Hosting on Mead Lane - we could do with a few more? Does anyone know of any other locations in Kingsmead which have them, and if not do you have any location suggestions?
Hertford Town Council (HTC) have advised that Community Grants are available - applications could be made as part of the Kingsmead Residents Association, which has a bank account.
Online grant application form can be accessed at : https://www.hertford.gov.uk/community-grant/ for up to £1200 per year and the next deadline is 30th November 2020
We would need to decide where to put the Defibrillators (for example Pinehurst Community Centre) and check with building owners for permission to install the defibrillator in the building, or outside and if they would be happy to take ownership of it. HTC would then add it to the list on the Council website once they have been purchased and put up.
This website gives some good information on starting a project for defibrillator installing: https://www.londonhearts.org/defibrillator-cabinet-proje
